I enjoy working with tools that can help get students more involved in their learning. I love using robots, electronics, and other fun items in teaching what I teach!

My main interests in educational technology include robotics, mobile apps, and electronics. In robotics, I'm most interested in how robotics competitions for high school and middle school students are able to affect students in such a way that their attitudes towards STEM are improved or positively changed. I'm also interested on the role of robotics in students' attitudes towards 21st century skills. I believe that attitudes influence self-efficacy which in turn influences expectations and perceived value of what one does which affects motivation. And so on and so forth. Ultimately, I hope that all of these lead to greater interest in STEM and application of their learning.
