Coaching Conversations
School improvement is a collaborative effort and all members of a school community benefit by understanding the role of coaching and coaching strategies as part of professional practice. Additionally teachers and administrators can use coaching conversations to support each other in their professional goals and growth. This workshop will include discussions and sharing around what it means to ‘coach’ colleagues.

Participants in this workshop will have a clearer understanding of their role in coaching their peers (formally and/or informally) and coaching’s impact on professional growth. They will also gain practical strategies and resources to support and build their capacity in coaching (particularly in regard to coaching conversations)

Daring to Stretch - Overcoming Fear and Comfort towards a Road of Innovation
As educators, we’re trained to evaluate where students are at, and guide them along a developmental path of success. However, we’re not always good at self-reflection and setting personal goals for ourselves that stretch us to the next level. We often sell ourselves short, or over-extend ourselves in ways that leave us scarred and broken. In this session, we will look at various tools that help us to self-evaluate as leaders, and introduce ideas to stretch our thinking, while being purposeful and maintaining a healthy mindset. Come prepared to reflect, tell your story and stretch along.

Education & Equity: Fostering Equitable Global Citizenship
As educators working at international schools, we must be culturally competent in creating safe spaces for students coming from diverse backgrounds while still upholding the values of global citizenship. This presentation will explore various challenges and opportunities that educators may encounter when faced with issues such as racism, sexism, homophobia, and other equity-focused concerns.

A workshop approach will address power dynamics in society with special recognition given to working in an international school context.

Participants will be given the opportunity to share their reactions to real-life scenarios that will offer further context to the discussion. In addition, teachers will walk away with strategies that they can implement in their classrooms. We look forward to engaging in a meaningful workshop in a judgment-free space that will enrich our diverse classrooms and practices.

Innovative Leadership for 21C
We live in a world of rapid change and all sorts of problems, from rising socio-economic inequality to terrorism, environmental challenges to mental illness and lack of wellbeing across all areas of society. These things affect everyone in our schools, from students through to school leaders and sadly we have large numbers of teachers leaving schools to seek happiness elsewhere.

Innovative, authentic leadership is a must for schools to be places of vision, learning, growth, goodness, creativity and ingenuity that prepare our young for their futures.

This session will outline:
• The secrets to 21C Leadership for women and men
• How to create high performance innovative teams
• How to embrace disruption, innovation and change at your school
