How Can Chinese Teachers Make International Schools More International?
Why do Chinese students educated from a traditional Confucian environment consistently outperform students from a Western educational background in international benchmark tests like PISA? What is wrong with rote learning and memorization? Is it time to Reverse the Flow between West and Confucian educational thinking? If we want teachers to think, act and work together with an international mindset in international schools, then do we need to find a way to bring together the best of Western and best of Chinese educational thinking?

This workshop offers a fresh approach to understanding Confucian educational values and will give practical examples of a fusion approach to teaching and learning, based on the speakers experience in local and international schools
